BODEGAS HEREDAD UGARTE MARTIN CENDOYA RESERVA RED WINE TEMPRANILLO 2001 |
 |
Bright berry aromas; quite floral with meaty undertones… a young wine! It is shy, pretty and delicate but at the same time, haunting. On the palate a sweet attack; delicate, not a power wine. Silky, suprisingly elegant with sweet, supple tannins and a long finish. Really, really, nice
80% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo from the Valdesanjuán, Chillarán, Las Llanas, and La Capilla vineyards that were planted between 1900 and 1915. These vineyards collectively yield only 1.5 tons per acre. After malolactic fermentation and 24 months in a mix of American and French barriques the finished wine is aged for another two years in bottle before release.
