"Dark ruby color. The cool nature of the harvest season manifests itself clearly in this wine, revealing a frank black cherry, light herbal note with distinctive cocoa-mineral aromas typical of Merlot. The judicious blend of Merlot from southern Napa and cool Carneros, with Merlot from our warmer Rutherford and St Helena vineyards gives this wine a strong dark cherry flavor, soft tannins, and a subtle truffle-mineral flavor that adds to its allure. Without excess tannins, the sweet Merlot flavor shines brightly. Drinkable now, but capable of aging for 3-5 years, enjoy this Merlot with roasted or grilled meat and fowl, pasta dishes, especially with a tomato sauce, or a fancy roast duck with a port glaze." - BV Winery
